Couponing has changed so much over the years, and now the options for finding coupons are limitless!
Where you were once forced to buy a Sunday paper to find coupons you can now find online and even in your hand on your smartphone!
There are so many rewards programs, ways to stack coupons, and also inserts to sort through that it can be overwhelming.
If you want to coupon with almost no effort at all, I encourage you to try couponing on your smartphone!
All you need is your phone, and a few apps to get you started! Here is how to coupon using only a smartphone, no newspaper or insert required!
Look For Smartphone Only Deals
Be on the lookout for deals that only require a phone app.
I make it so easy because you can simply type the words “ibotta” or “checkout” into this search and it’ll pull up every current deal with one of those apps. That way you can choose which store you want to shop at before you leave the house!
Print Coupons Directly From Your Phone
Did you know you don’t even need a computer to print out coupons anymore?!
Yep, you can print manufacturer coupons right from your smartphone!
All you have to do is connect to your phone to the same wifi that your printer is connected to and select the print option on your phone!
Remember, manufacturer coupons still have the same print limits, the same as printing from a computer. And each phone or device is typically capped at two prints for the same coupon.
However, you can use your husband’s, kids, and even your best friend’s phone to print more coupons!
Use The Target App
If you shop at Target, then you need to download this app!
You can combine and clip manufacturer and store coupons right on your phone, along with other offers, to use at checkout.
All you need to do is load the deals to your “cart” by either scanning to the barcode of the product in store or searching for it. When you are ready to checkout, you just have your cashier scan one single barcode, and that’s it!
Some of the offers can even be redeemed multiple times all with that one scan!
Download Store And Restaurant Apps
If you frequent a store or restaurant, look at seeing if they have an app.
Most of the time you’ll find a reward program through the app that you can use for discounts or coupons!
For example, you can get free food and even money off your order with the McDonald’s app, Starbucks allows you to earn points towards free drinks with their app.
We never ever pay at Steak N Shake without first logging into their app, you earn a FREE $5 with each $50 purchase! That’s 20% off!
If you walk into a store, you’ll likely find an offer to receive a coupon via text.
You can get exclusive high-value coupons, and some can even be stacked with other coupons!
Target has mobile text coupons in store on a variety of products that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for even more significant savings! Bed, Bath, and Beyond offer a mobile text coupon you can use to get 20% off an item (and sometimes your entire purchase)!
Sign Up For Email Coupons
If you have a smartphone, you can sign up for email coupons right in the store, and potentially start to save right away.
Some may take a few days to receive, but others are immediate.
The best part is that most of the coupons don’t even need to be printed so you can scan them from your phone, right at the register!
Kohl’s allows you to use Yes2You Rewards directly from your phone, as well as other barcode coupons on your phone at checkout.
Can you believe how much couponing has evolved over the years! Sometimes I can barely keep up myself! If you are new to couponing or don’t have a way to print coupons, couponing on your smartphone can be a great way to get some additional savings without much work. Here are several more ways to get coupons without buying a newspaper.
