You might also consider hosting a workshop for your area. -
What is the difference between your Basic Coupon Workshop and the Advanced Workshop?
The Basic Workshop is an introduction to couponing. The TrueCouponing Speaker discusses the main points of “how to coupon” to save over 70% on your grocery bills.
The Advanced Workshop begins where the Basic Workshop ends. It dives into more detail of the specific techniques of couponing, building on the ideas learned at the basic workshop. It is advised to attend a basic workshop prior to the advanced.
-
If I have not attended a basic workshop, could I attend an advanced workshop without being too far behind others who have attended a regular workshop?
It’s best to attend a basic workshop first, if possible. You may be unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the “coupon lingo” used in the Advanced Training workshop. The TrueCouponing speaker may also assume his/her audience understands an idea or point discussed because of previous training. However, the final decision is yours. You are always welcome!
-
Do you have any Spanish Workshops?
Yes! On the home page locate the calendar on the main page, right side. Our upcoming scheduled workshops are highlighted in green. We strive to book a Spanish Workshop every quarter. Coupon Related Questions:
-
Are blinkie’s coupons pulled from a file of coupons?
No. Blinkie’s are coupons found at the store. They are located near the product and usually found in a little “coupon dispenser” that has a red light that blinks. I file these all together in a stack instead of by category. Then when I see a “blinkie” as a match on the weekly shopping list I just go to my blinkies and search for the particular item. Quick and easy!
-
I’ve been confused about the peelie’s. Are the peelie’s one’s you have collected off other products?
Yes. The “peelies” are the little sticker-type coupons found on a product.
-
Do you mail out coupons upon request?
Unfortunately, we do not mail out coupons.
-
Can I use a store coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon together on same item?
Yes! That’s the secret to saving BIG!!! Just pay attention that you are not using 2 manufacturer's coupons (the barcode starts with a small, tiny “5” or “9”) on the same item.
-
Can you tell me again what GM means?
The GM acronym stands for General Mills. It’s a Coupon Insert that is included at intervals in your Sunday paper among the Red Plum and Smart Source inserts. It’s typically very thin and includes coupons such as Nature Valley Granola Bars, a variety of cereals, Green Giant, Betty Crocker and Pillsbury products.
-
I see Upromise listed in many of your weekly sales ads. What is Upromise and how does it work?
You can see a post HERE that explains Upromise in detail.
-
Ever since I have been requesting free samples and signing up for printable coupons, I have been getting a lot of junk mail. I’m not sure it’s worth it.
Signing up for FREE samples, requesting coupons by mail or registering to print coupons online will get you a little extra junk mail. Only you can decide if it’s worth the savings for you. My thinking is this…I’m going to get junk mail no matter what, right? So, why not get some coupons and free stuff in there, too!!! Getting a package in the mail is kind of thrilling no matter what your age. Getting something for FREE just adds to the fun for me. I love my junk mail! For more details on savings with junk mail look HERE
-
Where can I get the Conagra Rediscover Family Coupon Booklet?
Several times a year Conagra offers a “rebate coupon offer”. In order to get these coupons, you have to purchase a set amount of Conagra products then submit your receipts before a given deadline by mail. When these rebates are available, we will post and let you know about them. (See a previous post HERE.) To be ready for such offers, we recommend filing your grocery store receipts by month. When an offer like this comes around, just go to your monthly receipt file and see if you have already bought the qualifying items.
-
When do I clean out my Coupon Box?
Our Coupon Box is a tool we use to hold all the coupons we need before we go to shop. We get a lot of questions about what to purge, when to purge and where to send the stuff we DID purge! HERE are some tips to keep your Q Box looking lean!
-
How do we send our expired coupons to the Military?
1. Monthly, check HERE for the current date of when to purge your coupons!
2. Get an envelope or “flat rate” box to put all your coupons inside.
3. Print a letter to include with your coupons HERE.
4. Choose a Military Base to send the coupons to (see list from our friend Michelle HERE), write the address on your printed form. -

~Go HERE and register to receive Target updates by mobile device and/or email.
~Create a Gift Registry HERE. Registering for a Wedding, Baby or even a Birthday “Target List” can get you on their mailing list.
~Sign up for Target Samples. Target sometimes offers free samples of products. Sign up HERE when they are available and you could get on their mailing list!
~You could also apply for a Target credit card. However, I never like to recommend signing up for credit cards! -

Question about the printables. I attended the class this week. Should we be printing multiple copies of these coupons? That seems like a large expense in paper?
We suggest printing high value coupons for products that you normally use as soon as you see they are available. Most printable coupons have a limited number of prints. Almost any coupon valued at $1 or more will run out of prints pretty quickly. We also post deals we find on paper and ink!
-
I'm having a pretty difficult time finding the printables when I click on them. I think perhaps your links are expired.
We check all of our printable links before posting them to verify they are correct. However, most printable coupons have print limits. Once the print limit is reached, that coupon is no longer available. If you click on a printable link that is no longer available from the link we posted, please let us know by leaving a comment on that post. We will update the list as soon as possible. It is best to print any coupons you think you may use (high value or a product you use often) as soon as you see they are available. This is one reason we post our grocery store lists as early as possible...to give our subscribers the best access to those printable coupons.
-
Where can I find the P&G booklets (P&G everyday savings, etc) that are frequently referenced in the store lists on your web site?
The P&G booklets were available last year. To get a P&G Coupon Booklet you had to purchase a certain amount of P&G products and submit your receipt to them by mail. Then they mailed the coupon booklets to you. The promotion has ended, but the information was HERE. We are still including these coupons on our lists because all the coupons in the booklets have not yet expired. I am quite sure P&G will be offering a similar deal again because they offer these coupon booklets regularly. We will definitely be alerting our subscribers if another one becomes available.
-
I see coupon booklets listed in the store matchups a lot. I do not have many of these booklets. How can I get these coupon booklets?
You are not alone! NO ONE has all these coupon booklets! Go HERE to see several ways to get coupon booklets!
-
I know this has to be really easy to figure out, but just when I think I have it figured out, I don’t! How do you figure out how much in fillers that you have to buy when you use your RR’s at Walgreens?
At Walgreens, the number of coupons you use cannot exceed the number of items you buy (manufacturer’s coupons, store coupons and Register Rewards combined). You CAN stack a store and a manufacturer’s coupon when available, but in order to use 2 coupons on one item, you will have to buy an additional item. Click HERE for an example to help understand it better!
-
How many $5 off $50′s can I use when I get to the checkout register?
ONE! Per Transaction… So, when you are *about* to get up to the checkout lane, you pull your cart aside and make the last final check through your items and coupons. Stack your coupons in the correct order (see workshop handout) and pair like items together in case the cashier needs to verify the number of items you are purchasing against the coupons you are using. Then as you get into the lane, mention to the cashier that you will be paying 1 or 2 times depending on the number of $5 off $50′s you have. Go HERE for more detailed information!

My problem was spyware/adware had been downloaded without my knowledge. It was some kind of assist tool bar that tries to side track you and cause you to use their search engine.
