CVS Shopping Scenarios for 9/8 – 9/14!!

To get the biggest savings at CVS, you’ll need to take advantage of their ECB Deals AND use coupons.  Here are a few shopping scenarios broken down into separate transactions for this week to get you started.

{TRANSACTION #1}
Buy: (1) CVS Probiotic, 15ct (Limit 1) @ $9.99
Pay: $9.99 OOP
Get Back: $9.99 ECBs

{TRANSACTION #2}
Buy: (2) Colgate Max, 6oz, Total, 4-4.2oz or 2-in-1 Toothpaste, 4.6oz (Limit 2) @ $2.99 each = $5.98
Buy: (2) Bengay, 2oz (Limit 2) @ $4.49 each = $8.98
Buy: (1) SoftSoap Liquid Hand Soap, 8-8.5oz (Limit 1) @ $2.99
Use: (2) $0.75/1 Colgate Total Toothpaste (The Coupon Book) (minus $1.50)
Use: (2) $2/1 Bengay Product printable (minus $4)
Use: (1) $0.35/1 SoftSoap Hand Soap printable (minus $0.35)
Pay: $17.98 (product total) – $5.85 (coupon total) – $9.99 ECBs (from Transaction #1) = $2.14 OOP
Get Back: $4 ECBs (Colgate) + $4 ECBs (Bengay) + $2 ECBs (Softsoap) = $10 ECBs

{TRANSACTION #3}
Buy: (2) Excedrin Migraine 24 ct @ $5.59 each = $11.18
Buy: (3) Stayfree Pads 14-24ct @ $3 each = $9
Use: (2) $1/1 Excedrin Product, exp. 10/6/13 (SS 08/25/13) (minus $2)
Use: (3) $1/1 Stayfree Pads, exp. 10/5/13 (SS 08/25/13) (minus $3)
Pay: $20.18 (product total) – $5 (coupon total) – $10 ECBs (from Transaction #2) = $5.18 OOP
Get Back: $2 ECBs (Stayfree) + $7 ECBs (Excedrin) = $9 ECBs

{TRANSACTION #4}
Buy: (3) Tide Detergents @ $5.94 each = $17.82
Buy: (1) Gain Detergent @ $5.94
Use: (1) $3/3 Tide Detergent, Tide Boost, Tide Washing Machine Cleaner, Tide To Go, Downy or Bounce, exp. 9/30/13 (P&G 09/01/13)
Use: (1) $1/1 Gain or Era Detergents or Gain Fabric Enhancer, exp. 9/30/13 (RP 08/11/13 R)
Pay: $23.76 (product total) – $4 (coupon total) – $9 ECBs (from Transaction #3) = $10.76 OOP
Get Back: $5 ECBs

WHAT DID IT REALLY COST?
Transaction #1 = $9.99
Transaction #2 = $2.14

Transaction #3 = $5.18
Transaction #4 = $10.76
Total of All Products Before Coupons or ECBs would have been $71.91!
Final Price OOP = $28.07

And, you still have $5 ECBs to use next week!

If you already have some ECBs from previous weeks to start this week’s transactions, your OOP will be even less!

Remember to scan your Extra Care Card at the in-store kiosk before you shop every time at CVS. You can usually scan it (2) or more times. You could get some CVS store coupons to save more!
