This week we have Zatarains.com to thank for our yummy recipe. There are a bunch of tasty ones to choose from. This one uses the Zatarain’s Jambalaya Mix along with the Johnsonville Sausage on sale at Winn Dixie. You can add some Margaret Holmes Seasoned Mustard Greens to go along with it and have a great meal. Don’t forget to include a delicious creme cake from the bakery for dessert. Bon appétit!!!
Zatarain’s Jambalaya
Prep Time: 5 Min
Cook Time: 30 Min
Ready In: 35 Min
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 package ZATARAIN’S® Jambalaya Mix, Original
- 1 pound of sausage, cut into bite-size pieces
Directions
1. Bring water and oil to boil in 3-quart saucepan. Stir in Rice Mix and meat of your choice; mix well. Return to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 25 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed and rice is tender.
2. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.
3. Fluff with fork before serving.
