~ Meals from Our Deals ~

This week’s recipe comes from Debbie! She writes:

“This sandwich takes me back to my childhood.  My earliest years were spent in New York around all my Italian aunts and uncles.  There was always a reason to get together and eat!  And meatball sandwiches were a favorite!  My Aunt Angie would have made the meatballs herself but since I don’t have her here in Florida to cook for me, Armour makes a decent substitute!  Mangiamo! (That’s Italian for “Let’s eat!”)”

Meatball Sandwich

Prep Time: 5 Min
Cook Time: 15 Min
Ready In: 20 Min
Servings: 5

Ingredients

  • 1 (24 to 26 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (16 ounce) package Armour® Italian Style or Original Bite Size Meatballs
  • 5 (6 inch) hoagie rolls or French rolls, split, lightly toasted if desired
  • 5 slices Mozzarella or Provolone cheese

Directions

Combine marinara sauce and meatballs in a large skillet; bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; stir well, cover and simmer 12 to 14 minutes or until meatballs are heated through, stirring once.

Spoon meatball mixture into rolls; top with cheese.
