    Here’s How: {Deal Scenario:}
Buy: Got 2 B Shampoo/Conditioner Styling Products (the entire line is on sale), $5.99 BOGO
Buy: ANY FILLER that is over 1 penny (to absorb the overage, $5.99 product, $6 in coupons)

I WAS TOLD BY THE MANGER AT MY CLW WALGREENS THAT THE COUPON POLICY HAD CHANGED AND THE COMPUTERS ARE “GETTING WISE”… WELL WENT HOME CALLED CORPORATE AND NO THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED AND IT IS THEIR POLICY TO REDUCE THE COUPON BY .1 CENT SO THAT IT WILL WORK, I THEN PRINTED THE POLICY AND WENT BACK …AND GUESS WHAT! YEP GOT MY HAIR PRODUCTS, NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE OR PULL ONE OVER BUT THEY GET PAID FOR THE COUPONS SO WHY MUST THEY BE SO DIFFUCULT

    • HelenJ

Just an update, it was really bothering me!  I called and spoke to the manager (Jake) and he offered me a $10 gift card to compensate me for the inconvenience and did state that their store policy allowed them the option of limiting hte number of coupons on sale items.  (never heard that one before!) But he also stated that he would clarify the corporate couponing policies with the cashiers.

    • HelenJ

Thanks, I did go to the walgreens website and print out a copy of their couponing policy which does clearly state this. I was going to go back and talk to the manager, but could not locate my receipts and believe I threw them out. Trash had just been picked up or I would have dumpster dived just to prove my point!  I will certainly take the coupon po,.icy with me for future reference at Walgreens.  They also change prices, like when the nail polish remover was on sale with a $1 off coupon.  I was able to get two as the sale sticker was left on the counter, but they had increased the price to $1.99. Don’t understand why Walgreens is this way, but I would rather coupon at CVS where I don’t have these issues.  After all, I am only being a smart shopper, not trying to rip anyone off and that’s how I feel at Walgreens.

    • Farfaraway

Walgreens on County Line Rd and Mariner Blvd in Spring Hill is doing the same.
1 coupon for BOGO. I bought 4 products used 2 coupons, $1.50 ea.
Hoping Publix doesnt follow suit, yikes…..!

    • Daezycouponing

also, it clearly states in their coupon policy that 2 coupons can be used on BOGO deals…just print out the policy and take it to the store with you…

Buy One, Get One Free Coupons
When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offers, if required by applicable state laws.

    • Daezycouponing

i spoke to a manager in this store not too long ago and he said they would absolutely take a coupon on the free item…this was after the beauty rep at the one on main in dunedin gave me a hard time..so, maybe make a phone call to a manager?

    • Jan

I went today and the cashier told me I couln’t use a coupon on a free item (ie bogo) so I had to pay $3.oo for two. I used one coupon for $3 off.

    • Tarasalvagno

52 and majestic did it no prob try them next time they r usually really good I had 14 products(got2b) and they did it no prob

    • jal

The Walgreens at Little and Embassy in Port Richey would not take both coupons and would not adjust the price.  I had other items too in my order.  So I only used one coupon for the two hair products.  Then when I got home I realized that the “buy one get one 50%” on Secret didn’t ring up either.  Not a great trip to Walgreens today.  :(

    • Rachel

I ran into the same problem at a Walgreen on Busch in Tampa recently with a similar BOGO. They would only accept one coupon for the two items. I emailed the corporate customer service after to ask but never got a reply.

    • HelenJ

I am getting the “can’t take a coupon on the free item” from the Walgreens on Sunset and Belcher in Clearwater.  I thought I read something about this about two months ago but can’t find it..Any feedback?

    • TrueKati

That absolutely stinks Tracy!! We post the Regional Differences the Tuesday after they come out in the paper, and on Sunday’s we post exactly what you can expect to pull out of your paper. Just to make sure you get everything (otherwise, hopefully, you can contact the paper and get things resolved!). You should have gotten a SmartSource and a RedPlum insert that day (plus, there was a Walmart Flyer, but it only had 2 coupons in it). Sorry!!

    • TrueKati

Yes, the BOGO sale is good all month long, but since the coupon expires on 5/12, it is only FREE until then. Nope, no limit! Yay!

    • Tracyspears77

My newspaper in Brevard County from 2/12/12 didn’t have the RP that week.

    • Tarasalvagno

is this a monthly sale? and is there a limit?
