Albertsons Weekly Ad Update (several local Store Closings)

I am saddened to report that my local Albertsons will be closing their doors on June 9th. This week began the close out prices to start clearing product. It is heartbreaking to see our friends lose their jobs and move to other locations. Thirteen of the 17 Florida locations are closing. Those stores are: Apopka (two), Key West, Lake Mary, Longwood, Orlando, Port Saint Lucie, Valrico, Vero Beach, and Winter Springs. They also closed the distribution center in Plant City.

The stores that are closing are not receiving nor honoring the current weekly ad. They are only using close out pricing. Due to the possible confusion for so many stores, we are holding off to post the current weekly ad for a couple weeks.

Stores that will remain open are: Altamonte Springs, Clearwater, Largo and Oakland Park. For those of you still wanting to find the deals…please go HERE and utilize our coupon database. Just type in a product name, click “search” and it will show you where any applicable coupons are in your box! That is exactly how we do it each week!

Albertsons has been a great resource for me for so many years. This was where I regularly got FREE Toilet paper…ahhhh, the good ‘ole days! Albertsons, you will be missed!

Yes, the Valrico store is closing on June 9th. (it is in the list above, between Port Saint Lucie and Vero Beach) We will still be doing the match-ups though for the stores listed above that are not closing Hope that helps!

Thanks June! Yes, we posted the “Sneak Peek” today! We went back and told them of the responses we received from readers, so they let us post today…with a CAVEAT that we would make sure people knew they could NOT use their weekly ad in the store’s that are closing. Kati, I do my shopping based on your store reports! Thank you. Are you still going to be doing Albertsons? I live close to one of the stores that is still staying open (I wonder for how long). Do you know if one company took over the Albertsons, or are they just going to be one more vacant building to add to the many that we all now see.

The one at Lithia-Pinecrest and Bloomingdale will be closing…I’m sad too:(

I didn’t see mention of the store on Lithia-Pinecrest road/Bloomingdale in Valrico. I hope it is staying open! Meanwhile I will definitely have withdrawal not being able to access the matchups here!

Sad so many are closing. I just moved to NM and we have an Albertson’s but I feel like I can’t get good deals there. How did you get free toilet paper??

We are just on hold while the stores start to process their closings…Check back! And in the meantime, use our Q Database to look up coupons!

To my understanding, the stores that are closing are not issuing a sales ad. Our Sarasota/Bradenton store is closing June 9th also and told us they will not be having anymore sale ads and honoring their own coupons (Buy 1, Get 2; coupons in the ads; monopoly instant winner product coupon) because they are marking down and starting their closeout sale. They are still taking MQ.

Kati, Add Sarasota/Bradenton to that list . . .we’re losing ours too June 9th. =( Yes, I shopped there often for pizza rolls, laundry detergent . . and many other things! Albertson’s will be missed!

I live in Lake Mary and have been blessed to obtain great deals at Albertson’s. It appears you will not carry their sales any longer, is this true? If not where in the current ad?
