This past weekend my family attended the annual Homeschool Conference in Orlando FL. What a wonderful time of encouragement and relaxing “down” time! Every seminar and conversation seemed like it was a divine appointment that I was meant to encounter. Then to end the weekend reflecting on the lives that have been sacrificed for the sake of our freedom. The same freedom I experience every single Sunday as I worship without fear, or homeschool without fear. Or walk outside without fear. We are so very grateful. My lineage is filled with service men who sacrificed to ensure that my children would have life and liberty. Yet, as I go to bed at night, I feel a fear for those fighting right now, serving right now. So how do you combat that fear? The God that sustained my grandfather, and my father is the same God who is sustaining those serving right now. And I think the song “Your Love Never Fails” sung by Jesus Culture sums up our dependence on Him through all these years and including right now.
- You stay the same through the ages…your love never changes…there may be pain in the night, but joy comes in the morning.
- And when the oceans rage…I don’t have to be afraid…because I know that you love me! And Your Love Never Fails.
- You make all things work together for my good. You make….all things, work together for my good.
Please listen HERE and be encouraged as you start out this shorter-than-normal week. And offer a prayer of thanksgiving for those serving right now, and their families sacrificing on our behalf, every day.
