~ Allergy Apps of the Week ~

Check the Current Pollen Count in the Air (before you even go outside)! I don’t know about you…but I have been suffering every time I go outside lately! My eyes start to feel scratchy and itch and water…I start sneezing and just feel miserable! Well, last week at one of the kids Flag Football games, my friend Kelley found a great (free) app to help us be prepared for what is in the air ahead of us…Allergy Cast by Zyrtec. I also found another one sponsored by Pollen.com: Allergy Alert (Wondering the difference? Allergy Alert (the bottom one) does not have the current weather forecast but gives an allergy forecast for the next 4 days ahead.)

Allergy Cast by Zyrtec

Here’s how the AllergyCast app can help you plan your day:

  • Get the allergy forecast for today and tomorrow along with the day’s top allergens. Let the GPS locator use your current location or from the Home tab select another location by touching the map icon and entering a zip code or a city and state.
  • Save your favorite locations. Add locations from the Favorites tab by touching the + sign and entering a zip code or a city and state.
  • See the daily weather forecast for your selected area. Get the hourly or 10-day forecast with just a touch of a button.
  • Set your AllergyCast settings to always use your current GPS location. Or show info from the last searched location until you change it.

Here are the benefits of Pollen.com’s Allergy Alert:

  • App keeps you up to date with the leading pollen and allergy forecast for the United States.
  • You can access 1-Day and 4-Day Allergy forecasts for your location.
  • The app also provides other environmental information like a local asthma index, Ultraviolet and Cough/Cold monitoring.
  • Set your Allergy Alert settings to use your current GPS location. Or show info from the last searched location until you change it.

Go HERE to access this app for the Android. Go HERE to access this app for the iPod, iPad or other Apple Device.

Both Allergy Apps are FREE for iPhone and Andriod phones and will help you…be prepared to take on the elements!

Thanks Kelley F.!
