On weeks that do not have any coupons you might want to put your newspaper subscription on “hold” which lengthens your subscription (it adds a week on to the end).  Here is the contact information for the Tampa Bay Times, Tampa Tribune and the Orlando Sentinel:

  • Tampa Bay Times -Go HERE and log in to your account to place a hold on your delivery.  You can also reach Customer Service at 1-800-888-7012.
  • Tampa Tribune – Call: 813-874-2863 or 800-282-5588 Mon-Fri 6 am-5 pm; Sat 6 – 10 am OR go HERE to “manage your subscription.”
  • Orlando Sentinel – Call Customer Service at 1-800-359-5353 to place a hold on your delivery service.

Remember, printable coupons are always available. And they are different than the printed ones that come in the newspaper!

    I know this is a day late and a dollar short but if you purchase a paper at the store and the coupons are missing you have 3 options.
    a.) You can always go back and exchange it that same day provided they have not sold out.
    b.) If you are unable to go back that same day, you can call the store you purchased the paper at and tell them the inserts are missing from the paper you just purchased. Ask them if they would please put one in the office for you; that is of course that you can go back to the store in the next day or two to pick it up and return the paper that was missing inserts. I suggest getting the name of the person you spoke with.
    c.) Finally you can just call the store and let them know what happened and let them know you will be bringing it back for a refund when you are back in that area. Again, I suggest getting the name of the person you spoke with.

    I have never had a problem exchanging papers if they were missing the inserts. Unfortunately we have a lot of kleptos in this area; they like to swipe extra inserts. Fortunately my store is aware of the issue and they also know who they are.

    Once again the P & G coupon insert was missing from the Tuscaloosa Times. It does no good to call the newspaper.

    Booklets are finicky. They are not in all areas that our site covers. Even just here in my local area (Brandon FL), one store will have some and another store (not 2 miles up the road) will not have any!! Sooo frustrating! Just goto your customer service desk at your local store and ask if they have it! You may just luck out!!

    Just went through my papers bought at Publix for 9/16 and no coupon inserts! I knew home delivery had priority, but I have never had this happen. I can’t get home delivery of Tampa Bay Times in my neighborhood in Sarasota. Bummer. What a waste OF $3.

    Even when we know about those coupons ahead of time, we don’t know exactly where they are printed until they come out. If there is one, we post on Sunday where you can find it. See this post from this past Sunday.

    Can you please add in this section when the coupons in the newspaper are coming out in what sections they are in like in the Tampa bay times in section 3A there was a 5 dollars off when you spend $50 , I’ve seen coupons for $5 off $25 for sweetbay 😉 just would like to get a heads up ! I asked Tampa bay times customer service and they don’t have a section helping us out with that information 😉 ty

    why do the read outs of what is in the flyers not match what is in the flyers. These last two weeks I have printed out what is in Red Plum an Smart Source, I went through them both an the list does not match what is in the flyer, this week was way off for all 3. Is there a way you can get the print out of the flyers to match what is sent in your area. I live in Port Richey. an get both papers. cjgeorge52@tampabay.rr.com

    I live in hernando county we hae 2 papers that have coupons in them the Tampa bay times and the Tampa tribune i have always been told that the coupons are the same in the papers , but some say different , do you know if they are the same in the same region? Thanks sherry

    No, the dates you put on your folder is the Sunday Date that the paper was delivered. It would be a nightmare to keep up with the expiration dates!! We do that for you behind the scenes (utilizing our coupon database) so you don’t have to. The website is like a “Road Map” next to each coupon listed, it will say where you can find the coupon (SS 4/29/12 means find the 4/29/12 file folder in your coupon box, then within that file folder, find the Smart Source, SS, insert, then search for the coupon inside. Once a month we publish a “Time to Clean out your Coupon Box” post and that tells you what coupon inserts you can PURGE out of the box (because they are now expired) and instructions for sending them overseas for the Military to use.     Not always, the carrier is the person who physically delivers your paper to your driveway. They may or may not stuff the coupons inside your paper. If you get the advertisements and the comics then the paper has been stuffed correctly, but machines put the coupons inside the newspaper (near the comics and other advertisements). So if you DID GET the other ads and comics, then it was a stuffing problem at the newspaper itself, not with your delivery person. Hope that makes more sense! ~Kati

    Below you mention that you have to complain about missing coupons until it gets through to your carrier.  Are the carriers the people who stuff the newspapers with the coupons?

    I went to a workshop in Fort Myers yesterday! First of all, thank you to Daniels Rd. Baptist Church for hosting it! It was very enlightening and helpful! I do have a question, however, if someone can help. The dates that go into the file folders…are they the EXPIRATION dates for the coupons, and do all of the coupons actually expire at the same time in flyers such as RedPlum & P&, etc.?

     Kati,  I am having a TERRIBLE time with my carrier NOT delivering my papers or not delivering them whole.  I have called the Trib MANY times to “report/complain”.  Should I call Rita for an issue with delivery as well as missing inserts.

    I only received 1 smart source and the P&G in my Tampa Trib today home delivery paper today.  According to the schedule there should have been 2 SS, 2RP, and the P&G.  Is this still correct.

    I have been having the same problem with my tampa tribune SS coupons! The last 2 weeks I have bought the tribune from the Publix I shop at and only half of my Smart Source coupons were there!!  Will be buying Tampa Times from now on I guess…

    The Tampa Times only gives you until Sunday to report delivery issues…the Trib gives you until Tues. Plus, the Trib has offered a full time staff person to help with couponers…Rita Logan.

    Question for true couponers – who has the most consistent home deliveries for coupon inserts & sales flyers – The Tampa Tribune or The Tampa Bay Times (formerly knows as the St. Pete Times)?

    We just called today to complain about inserts missing in our home delivery Sunday paper (The Tampa Tribune). We only receive one paper and then get another one at the gas station and I’ve noticed they’re NEVER the same. The gas station papers always have ALL the inserts and the home delivery doesn’t. I was sick and tired of this until we called them today and they said they were going to tell the carrier because they don’t want to lose us as a customer. It’s frustrating.

    You were correct! There was only (1) Smart Source in yesterday’s paper…the other one listed originally as a SmartSource, was actually a GM, sorry! I have corrected it (and a couple other typing things we hadn’t noticed at first).

    I bought 10 copies of the Tampa Bay Times (formally the St. Pete Times) and there was 1 Redplum and 1 large Smart Source in each.  Did that large Smart Source count as 2?

    The Trib only had one SS in it today. I bought 3 copies . The same thing happened a couple of weeks ago and I emailed Rita. She sent me some of the missing books but I don’t want to ask again…I should not have to ask. I am so mad.

    I get both the times and tribune. Today none of my tribune papers had the redplum coupons or CVS sales ad. Can I call and complain. My times had both!
