Walgreens Shopping Scenarios

*Yay* Susanna and I were able to head to Walgreens tonight!! And I got a few additional “Scenerios” for you to try (but call ahead first and see if they have any Hyland’s Cold ‘n Cough because we had to go to 2 different stores for 3 bottles TOTAL *not ALL items are shown)

Here are the Scenerio’s:

{Transaction #1}
Buy 1 Hylands Cold ‘n Cough Kids (4 oz.), $4.99
= Spend $4.99 (no tax on Meds in FL)
Get back a $5 RR to use in your next Transaction:

{Transaction #2} remember to let other people go in front of you if a line is forming!
Buy 1 Fullbar Fit Appetite Control Bar (1.76 oz.), $1.99
Buy 1 Emergen-C Vitamin C Supplement (10 powder pack) $3.49
Use $5 RR from above transaction
= $.48 cents Total OOP
Get $2 RR and $3.50 RR (to use in the next Transaction)

Buy 1 Hylands Cold ‘n Cough Kids (4 oz.), $4.99
Buy 1 “filler item” (I chose the Reese’s fast break for $.69, you have to have something that is over $.50 cents because you have $5.50 in RRs to pay for an item that is only $4.99)
Use $2 RR
Use $3.50 RR
= Spend $.23 ($4.99 + $.69 – $2 – $3.50 + $.05 tax on the candy bar)
Get back ANOTHER $5 RR to use in your next Transaction!

Wash, Rinse, Repeat for every 3 items that you have; the Hyland’s, the Fullbar and the Emergen-C combo (+ a filler). And don’t forget to bring along your “Shopping Buddy” especially late at night!!

So for the night’s total I spent, $6.41 (see further explanation below) and I have an additional $2 and $3.50 for next week (or Thursday when they said they would be getting another truck of Hyland’s back in)!

= $6.41 total oop for 3 Hyland’s, 2 Fullfit bars, 2 Emergen-C’s and 2 Reese’s fast break bars (some items didn’t exactly make it all the way home) I divide the $6.41 by 5 items because those are the items our family will personally use (the Reese’s don’t count, their gone already, and the Fullfits are going to be donated). Makes each item only $1.28!! Happy Coupon Dance time!
